Dewayne is a graduate of Rockmont College and Denver Seminary, and has now completed his doctorate. Prior to coming to Dayton in 2001, he served as youth pastor and senior pastor in churches in Colorado. Committed to growing disciples, Dewayne’s role is to equip believers for the work of ministry through evangelism and discipleship.

Dewayne’s wife, Melody, has her counseling degree from Denver Seminary, home schools their daughter, serves on the board of the Blue Mountain Christian School, and teaches piano to elementary through high school age students. Their son, Micah, is in the Navy, and their daughter, Bethany-Noel, is away at college. Their family now also includes Alishia, Isreal, Enrique, Nathan, and Yasmine.
